Coyote King

one view of the border crisis is found here

A crowded field of wildflowers
they turn to greet the knowing day
Sentries of the secrets that lie beneath the colored clay
Secrets of the Coyote King

This river of blood has washed away
The dreams of a million sons and daughters
They spill into the hugry night
They spill into the sea
They lost their fame and fortune to the Coyote king

He'll lead us through the canyons
Deliver us to Eden
Grease the clasped hands standing
In the way of freedom
A lighthouse throwing blinding lies across an angry sea
We never saw the eyes of the Coyote King
